Four addresses carry most of Sector 42. The Laburnum, Central Park II Belgravia, Ireo Victory Valley and Vipul Belmonte all sit on or just behind Golf Course Road, facing the DLF Golf Course.

It is a small sector with tall buildings, which means the work here is concentrated. We are usually in one of four lobbies rather than spread across a colony.

Live in nursing is the largest category, followed by dementia care, post operative nursing and palliative care. Those are long placements, not short visits, and that shapes everything below.

Palliative work is the part families ask about most carefully, so we will be plain about it.

It means pain relief given on schedule and written down, pressure area care every few hours, help with washing and the toilet handled without a fuss being made of it, and someone in the room at night so the family can sleep.

It also means we tell you what we are not. We are not a hospice and we do not make clinical decisions. The plan comes from the treating doctor and we follow it, report against it, and call you when something changes.

On a long placement we send the same person rather than rotating faces through a bedroom. Continuity is the service. A patient who has to explain their own routine to a new caregiver every week is not being cared for, they are being processed.

Paras Health is in Sector 43, the next sector across. Fortis Memorial is in Sector 44 and Artemis in Sector 51, both on this side of the city. Medanta in Sector 38 is the fourth.

Because Paras is so close, a number of families here move between home and hospital repeatedly over months rather than having one discharge and one recovery. We keep the same caregiver through that cycle so the readmission does not reset everything.

On a post operative case we work from the surgeon's instruction sheet.

Wound dressing on the stated schedule, drain and catheter care where present, mobility only as far as the physiotherapist has cleared, and a written observation log the doctor can read at the follow up.

Day to day on a live in nursing placement, the shape is medication at fixed times, assisted bathing, meals to the prescribed diet, prescribed exercises, and a night routine that is written down rather than improvised.

Every caregiver carries police verification, an identity card and a record of years worked and languages spoken. The family sees that record and approves the person before they travel from Kanhai.

There is no society wide gate process on this page, but each tower runs its own desk and its own visitor rules, and we clear those before the first shift rather than at the door.

If a caregiver is not right, we replace them. On a palliative case we do that carefully and with the family's agreement on timing, because a change of face in the final weeks is not a small thing.

Price follows condition and hours. A qualified nurse costs more than a trained attendant, and a palliative placement in these towers is nearly always the nurse.

Twenty four hour live in costs more than a twelve hour shift, and palliative placements here are almost always the full day. Oxygen, suction, catheter care and syringe driver work move a case to a nurse.

Palliative placements are quoted for the whole arrangement rather than by the visit.

A trial day is available, though on palliative and dementia cases most families here skip it and ask for the senior caregiver instead.

Caregivers for Sector 42 come from Kanhai, Chakkarpur and Wazirabad. They work in Hindi and English, with Bengali, Malayalam and Nepali on the roster.

The Sector 42 to 43 Rapid Metro station is the marker families use when they direct someone in for the first time, and the Sector 43 market is the turning most drivers know.

Each of the four towers runs its own visitor and staff entry rules, and they are not the same. The Laburnum and Vipul Belmonte are older buildings with settled residents and settled procedures.

Ireo Victory Valley and Central Park II Belgravia are taller and run tighter lobby control.

We clear whichever applies before the first shift, which is why we ask for the tower name in the first message rather than just the sector.

The other thing we ask for early on a palliative case is who in the family makes decisions. When a patient's condition changes at two in the morning, the caregiver needs one name to call, not a group of five people who will each say something different.

Sector 42 is small and we do not pretend it is bigger. If your address is one of the smaller blocks or a builder floor rather than the four named here, we cover it on the same terms. Ask.

To start, send the tower and flat number, what the doctor has asked for, and the hours you need. We come back with who is free, what it costs, and whether the tower clearance is already filed. If we cannot cover the shift, we say so straight away.
