Sector 15A and 14A are bungalows and kothis, not apartment towers. A large share of the households are retired senior officers, judges, civil servants and forces families, many of whom have lived in the same house for decades.

In this pocket the paperwork decides the hire, not the price. Families here are used to records, and they are right to expect them.

So every caregiver who enters a Sector 15A or 14A house carries police verification, an identity card linked to Aadhaar, and a written duty sheet the family can check at the end of each shift.

The record of years worked and languages spoken goes to the family before the person travels, not after they arrive at the gate.

We put the duty sheet in writing because in a household used to files, a verbal report at the end of a shift is not evidence of anything. A written one can be read, kept, questioned and shown to a doctor.

Four hospitals serve this area. Max Super Speciality is in Sector 19 and Apollo in Sector 26, both close. Metro Hospital and Heart Institute in Sector 11 is the cardiac referral. Kailash in Sector 27 is the fourth.

Metro Hospital being a cardiac centre changes the mix of work here. A significant share of our placements in these two sectors begin after a cardiac admission, and those cases need medication timing followed exactly rather than approximately.

Dementia and Alzheimer's care is the largest category, then live in attendants, then post stroke care, then palliative support.

Dementia work in a bungalow is different from dementia work in a flat. There are more doors, more ground floor exits and usually a garden gate, so wandering is a real risk rather than a theoretical one.

On the first visit we walk the house and say which doors need to be secured at night and who holds the keys.

A live in placement here is medication at fixed times against the prescription, help with bathing and the toilet, meals to whatever diet has been set, assisted walking, and a written log each evening.

On a dementia case it is the same caregiver every day, in the same order, without rotation.

Post stroke placements arrive with a physiotherapy plan. The caregiver holds the routine between visits, watches for swallowing difficulty, and reports changes rather than deciding what they mean.

Palliative work here is usually long and quiet. Pain relief on schedule and written down, pressure area care through the night, washing handled without fuss, and someone awake so the family can sleep.

We follow the treating doctor's plan and we do not make clinical decisions.

We also say what we are not. We are not a hospice, we are not an emergency service, and we do not replace an ambulance.

There is no society gate process in these sectors because they are not societies. Entry is at the house, which means a placement can start the same day if the verification record is already with the family.

If a caregiver is not right for the household, we replace them. Given how much of this pocket runs on recommendations between neighbours who have known each other for thirty years, we would rather change the person early than let a family stay quietly dissatisfied.

Price follows condition and hours. A qualified nurse costs more than a trained attendant, and palliative placements in these bungalows are nearly always the nurse.

Twenty four hour live in costs more than twelve, and in these bungalows the live in is the more common arrangement. Catheter care, oxygen, suction and tube feeding move a case to a nurse.

A patient needing two people for every transfer is priced as two, which matters in a bungalow with no lift.

Night only cover is quoted on its own, and in a bungalow with a garden gate it is often the shift that matters most.

A trial day is available before a long placement, and in these two sectors most families take it.

Caregivers come from Harola, Nithari and Chaura Sadatpur, the settlements directly behind these sectors. They work in Hindi and English, with Punjabi, Bengali, Malayalam and Nepali on the roster.

Sector 15, 16 and 18 on the Blue Line put a family member coming from Delhi at the gate without a car, which matters when a son or daughter is visiting daily during a recovery.

These are large plots with gardens, and in summer the practical question is where an elderly patient sits during the day. We ask about shade and seating on the first visit, because a daily hour outdoors is one of the few things that reliably helps sleep at night.

Households here often have long serving domestic staff already. We work alongside them rather than around them, and we say clearly at the start which tasks are ours.

To start, send the house number and sector, what the doctor has asked for, and the hours you need. We reply with who is free, their verification status and what it costs, or we tell you we cannot cover the shift.
