A visit is somebody coming over. A full time attendant is somebody being there. Families often book the second when the first would have done, and occasionally the reverse, which is worse. Here is how to tell.

## Pick saathi visit when

- The need is a specific task: a check, a test, an appointment, medicines sorted.
- Your parent is independent and would find a daily presence intrusive.
- You are checking in from another city and want regular eyes rather than constant cover.
- You are still working out whether more is needed. Almost everybody should start here.

## Pick full time attendant when

- Somebody in the family is already doing this daily and is not coping.
- Falls, confusion or a condition that turns quickly mean your parent should not be alone for long.
- Medicines are being missed, or meals are being skipped, and nobody sees it happening.
- Your parent has stopped leaving the house and the isolation is now the health problem.

## The signs people miss

- Weight loss with no explanation. It is almost never about appetite and almost always about somebody not eating when alone.
- The same story told twice in one call. Worth a visit, not a panic.
- A fall that was mentioned casually a week later. There is usually more than one.
- The primary carer in the house sounding flat on the phone. Carer burnout ends more home care arrangements than the patient ever does.

## Questions

### Do you provide a live in attendant who stays overnight?

The largest block we publish today is 12 hours a day at a timing you choose, which can run through the evening and night. Round the clock care is coming and is not open for booking yet. If you genuinely need someone resident, ask on WhatsApp and we will tell you honestly where it stands in your area.

### My parent says they do not want anybody in the house.

Almost everybody says that. Book a single visit, not a plan. Frame it as somebody dropping by rather than as care. The second booking is usually not argued about.

### How quickly can an attendant start?

Ask on WhatsApp, 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, every day. It depends on the area and we will give you a real answer rather than a promise. In areas where our team lives close by it is often the same day.

### What if we try it and it is not right?

Tell us. We replace the saathi with no notice period and no fee, or we stop and count the days already served. Neither conversation costs you anything.
