Everything happens on WhatsApp. ## What it is Post surgery care is the block of days between leaving the hospital and being able to manage alone again. Nobody is monitoring the patient in that window, which is where readmissions come from. A saathi picks up where the ward left off: the discharge sheet, the medicine timings, the dressing schedule the doctor set, the movement the physiotherapist asked for. They record what happened each day and flag anything that looks wrong early enough to matter. We take the handover in person where the hospital is close. A care advisor replies. Asking is free. 3. **We confirm a verified saathi.** You get the saathi name and photo before the visit. Every saathi is police and document verified, with references called and the check repeated every 6 months. 4. **Pay by UPI or cash.** Payment happens at the time of the visit. We do not take cards. Add ons like lab tests are quoted and confirmed with you before anything is spent. 5. **Proof lands on the same thread.** Photo proof, a vitals snapshot and a short written summary go to the family members you name. No notice period and no fee for the swap. - **One strike.** A caregiver who is dishonest with a family does not get a second placement anywhere on the roster. ## Questions ### Can care start the same day as the discharge? Often yes, and in areas where the hospital is close it is routine. Message us while you are still waiting for the discharge paperwork rather than after you get home, and we will tell you honestly whether we can reach you that evening. ### Will the saathi change the dressing? A saathi keeps the dressing clean and dry, watches it, and escalates. Changing a surgical dressing is a clinical task, so we coordinate a qualified nurse or the treating doctor for it rather than doing it ourselves. ### How many days do most families book? Most start with a single visit to see how the patient actually is at home, then move to a daily block for the first week or two. You are not locked in. Tell us what the doctor said about recovery time and we will suggest what fits. ### Can the saathi take the patient to the follow up? Yes. The saathi escorts them, waits through the appointment, and sends you a summary after. If your loved one has to be taken there, we arrange the trip and charge what it cost, confirmed with you first. ### Do you handle night shifts after surgery? The 12 hour block can be set to run through the evening and night.
